With the recent winter solstice, it is time for us to leave the winter collections behind and start thinking about the spring-summer clothes. Many designers already had previews of the new season, while some already launched their new line for spring-summer 2011. I need to modify a headband, and put one large ribbon on it. Then acquire washed-denim shorts, a loose, large-print shirt and boots. That’d be 80s enough, right?
A huge trunk for an office, unpolished floorboards, a brick wall and the ol’ drawing board. It’s a bit stiff, but I could totally fancy having a similar setup.
Filipino designer creates World’s 1st Biodegradable car
World renowned Filipino product designer Kenneth Cobonpue has created the world’s first and only biodegrable car made out of bamboo and rattan called the Phoenix.
Cobonpue is known for his signature designs using natural fibres and materials. The Phoenix is his latest venture in partnership with design apprentice Alberth Birkner which is created using rattan, steel, bamboo and nylon. Showcased for the first time at the “Imagination and Innovation” exhibit at Milan, the Phoenix is a testament of high quality craftsmanship to create an environmental friendly solution to transport.
